Working together
We can work together with what brings you to therapy and anything that might come up during our sessions that you would like to talk about. I work with the understanding that many problems that people face come from societal pressures including discrimination based on things we cannot and should not have to change about ourselves in order to live enjoyable, fulfilling lives. I don’t pathologise or diagnose my clients. Instead, I try to deeply understand your sense of self without assumptions or judgements. I balance unconditional support with gentle challenge because I believe in helping you explore your life at your pace while understanding that you have come to therapy to seek help and a different perspective than your own.
We can look at patterns in your life and how your past affects your present. I encourage feedback from my clients and adapt my approach accordingly. I believe it is a privilege to work closely with people and listen to what needs to be heard.
Most sessions are weekly at the same time on the same day, but please ask if this is not possible for you. After six weeks, I offer a review session to make sure we are on track.
All sessions are confidential. I send all clients a working agreement before starting therapy that lets you know what you can expect from me, your rights and how I keep your information private.
Please note that I can only conduct therapy in English.
